Lucidly I Dream Of You

Lucidly I dream of you, I approach near,
hoping to be granted of what 'is', I hear.
Uncomfortably I breach you with a stare,
pouring life down on me, I am aware.

Hoping to be granted of what 'is', I hear,
eyes piercing my inner being, trembling fear.
Unequaled and abandoned, you cry,
falsely protected by your lost soul, I try.

Uncomfortably I breach you with a stare,
child prodigy recognized unfair.
Volcanic emotions drive me near insanity,
clearing my heart, detached humanity.

Pouring life down on me, I am aware,
arms awaiting to embrace, I stare.
Peacefully I confront you my dear,
no more room for pathetic fear.

Hoping to be granted of what 'is' , I hear
magnetic truths are pristinely clear.
Lead by the spirit I step forward in time
restoring my lost soul, I give you a wind chime.

As strange as it is to us when we do remember our dreams this one was quite real. I won't bore you with details, other than the fact that it lead me to write this piece.

I seen myself as I was in my childhood and seeking for a response from myself. Strange, I know! However, it was so real that it moved me in more ways than I care to admit right now.

Abstract yet lucidly this dream left me feeling like every sensory I have had been enhanced. There was a tune played which resembled a wind chime. The closer I would become one with this child, the louder the chime.

I pray that this piece will one day remind me of just how I feel right this minute.

I got caught by the title, and I don't have any regrets. There are some moments in this that really sucker-punched me.

"Hoping to be granted of what 'is' I hear"
"Pouring life down on me, I am aware"

Those are the strongest lines I've seen in a while. Great work.

Excellent work... the funny thing is that lucid dreaming is something that I'm insanely interested in... and even studied in college for a time. So when I saw this title... I was thinking; "My God, is she reading my mind?". Haha. :D

Sweet! I'm a bit into lucid dreaming myself... didn't study it in a that sense, but I definitely have been dealing with it hand in hand ever since I can remember.

Reading your mind, now that's an interest ... ;)

Wind Chimes

I wish to make this one selfish confession
Which weighs upon my heart these trying times
I've stolen something once in your possession
Upon your mother’s porch, the sweet wind chimes

For when we’re paused in lover’s conversation
Their ethereal sounds define my mood
So now each note causes me sweet elation
Melodic confirmation life is good

I know your heart employs the happy notion
You’ll come to me while it is still twilight
But, should I dream alone upon sleep’s ocean
That twinkling will help get me through the night

For I will hear the soft, sweet sound to mean
We’re still talking, just in the pause between
